Mechanical and Electronic Imaging Samples

We imaged two 8′ x 10′ sheets of anodized aluminum, and provided a visually inspected “before” image and an captured and processed “after” image using the DT Rapid Capture System. All images were shot in under 1 second at 100 megapixels, batch processed in software, and cropped slightly. Take a look at the first images and see if you can find any defects – then look at the second images to see them made obvious by the DT Rapid Capture System. Then go back and see if there was anything you missed!

As you can see, there are a few scratches, wash marks, and a suction cup mark from where the material handling system attached to the sheet.

Now we can see that there are significant cuts and markups on the sheet. Did you see them in the “before” image?

We also employed the versatile DT Rapid Capture System in a microscopic configuration to image electronic components. At left are two microelectronic components, and to the right is an old PCB. All images were automatically focus stacked in under a minute by the system, providing sharp images with features fully in focus.
